Here at Dickinson Parks and Recreation we focus on bringing the community together by providing endless amounts of programs, events and places for people to recreate. The Dickinson Park District owns 1,763 acres of park land and green space which is comprised of 31 developed parks, 9 future park areas, and pedestrian trails. The Park Districts also manages 5 athletic complexes ( Dakota Community Bank & Trust Ballpark, West River Soccer Complex, North Softball Complex, Gress Softball Complex and Mustang baseball Complex.) West River Community Center, a public golf course, ice center, skate park, dog park and Patterson Lake Recreation Area which consists of over 20 miles of shoreline, 2 campgrounds, picnic areas, boat ramps, beach/swimming area and horseshoe pits.
