LOCAL ADVICE FROM A LOCAL EXPERT Q: Is there anything I can do to help them? Amanda Wilson CMA, CNA, Memory Care Director Country House Residence Dickinson, ND I A: we could educate ourselves. Find out what resources are available in your community. You could got visit the Alzheimer's Association online and find a support group near you. That way when you start to have those conversations that are sometimes difficult you have more information. At support group you can talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, concerns, and needs. You will also develop a support system and hear from other caregivers and loved ones of someone living with dementia. I also just want to add that it's important to make sure this person is safe. If you have concerns, please make sure you're reaching out for help and reporting to the appropriate agency or doctor. 3rd Annual Longest Day 5k Color Run/Walk The Longest Day is the day with the most light-the summer solstice. It's also the day the Alzheimer's Association calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer's disease by raising funds and awareness for care, support and research. Thank you to everyone for your support!
