Summary The Painter/Coater/Blaster is responsible for preparation of tanks for painting and operating various painting equipment, while working independently. The Painter/Coater/Blaster must be able to mix paint and spray all coatings, including both internal and external coatings. Painter/ Coater/Blaster may also be responsible for "wet painting. The Painter/ Coater/Blaster must meet production standards and provide continuous improvement. Must also be efficient and have an accurate identification of quality defects. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met. Responsibilities Must be able to mix paints and prep tanks in accordance with Bill of Material (BOM) Ability to accurately complete production rep011 on BOM . Must be able to make adjustments to machines as needed in order to maintain quality and production Perform quality checks according to manufacturer's specifications . Must be proficient at troubleshooting common, recurring problems without assistance, and able to rebuild paint equipment Must be able to set up paint, set up and adjust paint guns, and paint samples Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Must be able to paint products within identified standard hours Other duties as assigned ING. Desired Experience Working knowledge of the paint process, including ability to spray the most common coatings Knowledge of how to identify critical information on MSDS . Must possess a working knowledge of paint equipment . Must be able to read and understand BOM Possess troubleshooting skills Must follow all safety policies and procedures Knowledge of and adherence to the Palmer Manufacturing Philosophy Need to have solid communication and teamwork skills . Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions; minimum of basic English (written and verbal) required Ability to meet physical demands of job, including exposure to chemicals and varying temperatures, being able to independently lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for up to 12 hours/day 1-2 years of painting experience is preferred, but not required .
