About
Steve Lautt is a native of Minot, where he graduated from Our Redeemer's Christian High School in 2003. Steve received his Bachelor's degree with honors in political science, history and biblical and religious studies from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas in 2007.
Steve earned his Juris Doctor degree with Dean's honors from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas in 2012, where he also completed a certificate program in Natural Resources Law. During law school, Steve was a staff writer for the Washburn Law Journal, and his article, Sunlight Is Still the Best Disinfectant: The Case for a First Amendment Right to Record the Police, 51 WASHBURN L.J. 349 (2012), was published in 2012.
Steve joined the firm right out of law school and focuses his practice in the areas of oil and gas, environmental, civil litigation and real estate law.
Steve is married to Diane (Soldan) Lautt, and they reside in Minot.
