McKenzie Electric began doing business in 1945 and currently serves 3,672 member-owners by providing Nearly 85% of the electrical sales serve commercial and industrial customers.
The Cooperative is governed by a nine member Board of Directors who are elected by the membership they serve. McKenzie Electric currently employees 50 full-time employees in Watford City and its outpost in Killdeer.
Through our program Operation Round-up, various scholarship opportunities and volunteering support to our local communities. MEC takes great pride in empowering the communities that it serves.
